EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR NURSE AND EMERGENCY CARE PRACTITIONERS
BrisDoc have created an innovative clinical development programme to enable suitable clinicians to expand their clinical practice to work confidently and safely in our SevernSide Integrated Urgent Care (Out of Hours) service. Following successful role out of this programme in 2016 we are now looking for additional practitioners to join the team.
Working within SevernSide Integrated Urgent Care during the ‘out of hours’ period is exciting and rewarding, you will see and treat a huge variety of patients and conditions and work as part of a large supportive team. We also offer excellent rates of pay and reward package including NHS pension and “Sharing Success” bonus.
At BrisDoc, we pride ourselves on being a fantastic place to work, somewhere that you will feel valued, supported and part of a family. We strive to make sure every member of the team feels proud of the work they do and the service that we offer to over 1 million patients across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
BrisDoc is offering a 450hrs development programme to be completed over 12 weeks [full time] or up to a maximum of 20 weeks [part time] during which you will progress from observing practice to autonomous patient assessment and management. You will be required to complete a portfolio of competence and an essay to achieve academic credit [Evidencing Work Based Learning module, UWE].
This exciting opportunity is open to both prescribers and non-prescribers and is scheduled to ideally commence from September 2019 (although flexibility provided around notice periods).
Commitment: Based on an average of 37.5hrs per week for the development period you will be required to complete 30hrs clinical shifts during the out of hours period, including overnight and weekends and 7.5hrs per week directed study. If undertaking the development period on a part time basis the minimum commitment would be 22.5hrs per week (18 hours clinical and 4.5hrs per week directed study).
Upon successful completion of the development programme, BrisDoc requires candidates to contractually commit to a minimum average of 15hrs per week within SevernSide integrated Urgent Care for a two-year period.
Remuneration: Salary during the development period is £20/hr, increased on successful completion of the development period to the standard BrisDoc rate applicable to prescriber / non-prescriber:
|Base Rate (training / meetings etc)||Week day evening rate (up until 22:00)||Weekend & overnight rate|
|Nurse practitioner without prescribing||£17/hr||£25/hr||£27/hr|
|Nurse practitioner with prescribing||£19/hr||£27/hr||£29/hr|
Crucial to the success of this pilot programme is candidate commitment to out of hours clinical practice and the ability to identify and be responsible for personal learning needs.
