We are recruiting part time Call Handlers to work within the Acute GP Team based in Southmead hospital.
The role is to primarily answer calls from Healthcare Professionals who are making referrals to the medical team as well as provide some administrative work to support both the AGPT Service and the Out of Hours Service.
It is essential that candidates have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be computer literate and can listen and respond appropriately to staff and patients with differing needs. Accuracy and attention to detail in a busy work environment is essential.
Hours: There are a variety of part time shifts available between the hours of 07.45 and 18.30 Monday to Friday, however we are specifically looking for someone who would be able pick up Monday and or Wednesdays. Total hours would be up to 22hrs per week.
There is also an opportunity for applicants to train to cover sickness and annual leave on a casual basis without committing to contracted hours.
Rates of pay: Commencing at £8.50 per hour plus NHS Pension
Other benefits: NHS Pension (offering 14.38% employers contribution)
Location: Southmead Hospital (Training and meetings may be held at Head Office in Whitchurch).
