Bristol Inner City Primary Care Network (BIC PCN) is looking to recruit a Physicians Associate to work across our diverse and dynamic inner-city Primary Care Network. Practices within the network are already experienced in working with Physicians Associates and this role provides a great opportunity to join a committed team. You must have full Physician Associate qualifications and be registered with the Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR).
You will be passionate about developing a career in General Practice and helping us to shape our services, working under the supervision of a doctor as part of the medical team delivering urgent and routine care. The successful candidate will have direct contact with patients, taking medical histories, carrying out physical examinations, updating records, making diagnoses, analysing test results, undertaking home visits and delivering treatment.
Working to a professional code of ethics you will be able to demonstrate flexibility in the role, and have a caring attitude towards patients. We work closely with local training organisations and can offer regular mentorship with an experienced Physician Associate.
The post holder will be working as part of the BIC PCN – a forward thinking group of 8 surgeries comprising Broadmead Medical Centre, Charlotte Keel Medical Practice, Homeless Health Centre (Compass Health), Eastville Medical Practice, Lawrence Hill Health Centre, Maytrees Practice, Montpelier Health Centre and Wellspring Surgery.
You will be working collaboratively across the PCN, alongside both the GP and nursing staff, to meet the needs of the patients by providing direct clinical care using established clinical guidelines.
- Hours: Full-time i.e. 5 hrs/wk
