BrisDoc offers a wide range of shifts and hours to help you work around your life and family commitments.
You can work in-hours at Broadmead Medical Centre, Charlotte Keel Medical Centre, the Homeless Health Service and our Weekday IUC Professional Line.
You can also work out of hours in our SevernSide Integrated Urgent Care Service at Treatment Centres across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Locum sessions at Broadmead Medical Centre
Broadmead Medical Centre (BMC) was launched from inception by BrisDoc in 2009 in Bristol’s city centre and has steadily grown over the last 10 years. We are an established training practice serving a registered list of more than 10,000 patients provided primarily to students and young families, international patients, homeless and vulnerable people with a small elderly population.

Locum sessions in the interface between Primary and Secondary Care
BrisDoc’s Weekday IUC Professional Line operate a clinical telephone advice service from Osprey Court in Whitchurch. They receive all calls from local GPs wanting clinical advice or to refer patients into the medical team at Southmead Hospital for admission. This service runs between 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
Join our fantastic SevernSide Integrated Urgent Care Service
SevernSide Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) is a new 24/7 NHS Urgent Care Service which combines NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours service. It launched on 2nd April 2019. We serve patients across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Patients access the service using NHS 111 and NHS 111 online.
The service provides:
- 24/7 Navigation for patients to the most appropriate service to meet their needs
- 24/7 Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) to provide clinical telephone consultations for patients and to support healthcare professionals in the community
- Out of hours face to face appointments at Treatment Centres
- Out of hours home visits when appropriate
Locum sessions at Charlotte Keel Medical Practice
Charlotte Keel Medical Practice is an established training practice which joined BrisDoc in 2018. It serves more than 17,000 patients within Bristol’s inner city, caring for a population from all corners of the world. The largest ethnic minority groups come from the Caribbean, the Asian sub-continent and Somalia.
