In July this year we received the sad news that local commissioners had made the decision not to reprocure the contracts for Bishopston Medical Practice and Northville Family Practice meaning that both GP Practices will close their doors when the BrisDoc temporary contracts end on 30th September 2019.
Both practices have received an overwhelming and heartfelt response from patients who have received many years of fantastic care and support with flowers, cards and even a beautiful hamper of fruit being gifted to the team:
One patient said ” I have never experienced such good quality care, even during all of the uncertainty of the future of the practice of the last couple of years. Sending best wishes to all the staff, thank you for all you’ve done for our community over the years.”
Another said “We will never find such a lovely caring team of people to look after us anywhere else. Thank you for all you have done for us over the years”
A number of staff members from both services have been redeployed within BrisDoc at Broadmead, Charlotte Keel and Osprey Court. Others have chosen to take up employment with other GP practices and healthcare organisations or to take a break before securing future employment. We wish everyone success in their future careers and know they will bring their strong commitment to patient care to their new positions.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been affected by this closure for their support and professionalism during this process and to all the practice staff who have delivered such superb care to their patients over the years.
