On the 2nd of April at 12pm we successfully launched our new SevernSide Integrated Urgent Care service. The new service means BrisDoc now has responsibility for the running of NHS111, which will be provided by Care UK, the 24 hour Clinical Assessment Service (CAS), Primary Care Treatment Centres and Home Visits for patients who need a face to face assessment in the out of hours period.
To celebrate the launch we invited our teams at BrisDoc and Care UK to wear SevernSide orange. Thank you to everyone for taking part, it was great to see so many orange outfits.
We now have a team which include our WaCCs, Co-ordinating Shift Managers, Clinical Co-ordinators, Professional Line GPs, Pharmacists and Clinical navigators, working alongside our Care UK colleagues at Nicholson House on weekends and bank holidays. This will help us to provide our integrated service and strengthen relationships as we deliver quality patient care.
The Call Handlers and Assistant Shift Managers have relocated from Knowle to Osprey Court to join our nurse and GP triage team on weekends and bank holidays.
The SevernSide IUC journey is only just beginning with lots to do to continue to develop and evolve the service, with a focus on providing quality patient care by people who care. Please can I take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone involved in the work behind the scenes to get us to this point, and, THANK YOU to everyone who kept the service going to allow colleagues to focus on SevernSide IUC preparations.
