This year, BrisDoc donated 100 Easter eggs for local Syrian refugee children via Bridges for Communities, a charity who aim to connect people from different cultures and faiths, giving them the opportunity to build friendships and understand one another better. They seek to challenge the stereotypes and prejudice that exist between different groups of people, and do this by promoting interaction and friendship.
Karen Green from the charity sent us a message saying: “Each month we hold a social event for refugee families to come together and have some fun, support each other, and connect with volunteers that work with us, and this month it was extra special to be able to give each child an Easter egg for them to take home. It brought a lot of smiles to a lot of faces, so thank you very much! We really appreciate your support.”
