What you’ll do
- Answer incoming calls from patients and healthcare professionals seeking urgent mental health support.
- Listen carefully, ask the right questions, and capture key information clearly.
- Record case details accurately on our clinical system, so clinicians have what they need.
- Follow our safety calling process to protect patient wellbeing.
- Manage referrals and update the patient database to support joined-up care.
- Help the team run smoothly, including supporting the Shift Manager with day-to-day coordination.
- Some shifts are fast-paced. You’ll work to clear processes and you won’t be doing it on your own.
What you’ll need
- A calm, kind approach and the ability to speak to people with empathy and respect.
- Clear communication and good listening skills.
- Confidence using computers and updating records accurately.
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work across a 24/7 rota (including nights/weekends).
- A strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism.
- A valid full driving licence
Nice to have (not essential):
- Customer service or call handling experience, or experience in a health or care setting.
