Homeless Shelter Outreach Team
The team at Broadmead Medical Centre are passionate about the care of vulnerable patients within our community.
Our wonderful Nursing team make regular visits to hostels and homeless shelters around the city including The Foyer (for single, homeless people aged 16-21), Phoenix House (for homeless women) and Ron Jones House (which provides short term housing and support to 42 people aged 22 to 65 years).
BrisDoc’s Professional Line wins Innovation award!
The BrisDoc’s Professional Line has been awarded the ‘Innovation Prize 2015’ from The Royal College of Psychiatrists.
BrisDoc Community Fund Update
The BrisDoc Community Fund began four years ago when a number of BrisDoc employees united around a desire to do something to help disadvantaged groups within our local community as well as in the developing world, and the idea of BrisDoc becoming the platform which could give the necessary energy and resources.
Broadmead Medical Centre gets extra space and new doctors!
When first commissioned in 2009, BMC was designed for a list growing to 6000 registered patients. In 2013 it was obvious we were growing beyond this so we asked Boots for more space. It has taken 2 years of negotiations but finally we have the much needed extra rooms. BMC now has circa 7,500 patients on the list and with the new student year, 30 more a week joining – so this has come just in time!
