HANDi Paediatric App – New children’s health app launched
The HANDi App offers simple and straightforward advice on what to do and who to contact when a child is unwell. It includes illness-specific home assessment guidelines for six common childhood illnesses

That’s right, BrisDoc's GP Support Team is one year old! It’s been an eventful year and we are seeing the service grow and become more established month by month.

The BrisDoc Community Fund – Helping support for asylum seekers in the Bristol area
We were delighted this week to receive a thank you letter from Bristol Hospitality Network for funding and support provided by BrisDoc through our Community Fund. The BrisDoc Community Fund began four years ago when a number of BrisDoc employees united around a desire to do something to help disadvantaged groups within our local community as well as in developing world, and the idea that BrisDoc could become the platform which could provide the necessary energy and resources.

BrisDoc Community Fund visit Calais Refuge Camp
On Saturday 23rd January, two members the BrisDoc Community fund, Dr Alex Shaw and Dr Mike Taylor set off for the Channel Tunnel, on route to the Calais Refuge Camp in a people carrier packed, full to the brim of medical supplies, clothes, shoes and fruit.

BrisDoc – Calais Refugee Support Team
The BrisDoc Community Fund met this month with Elly Bernard and Josie Thurston from One Care Consortium to discuss their involvement with the Calais Refugee Solidarity Bristol group. We would like to gauge the level of interest in getting a BrisDoc team together to help in Calais

Exciting times at Northville Family Practice
On Friday 15th January 2016, BrisDoc began its management of Northville Family Practice.
This is a great opportunity for BrisDoc to expand our in-hours Primary Care Services, and we are very much looking forward to working together to provide an excellent service to the patients in South Gloucestershire.

The BrisDoc Community Fund teamed up with ‘Keep Bristol Warm’
The BrisDoc Community Fund teamed up with ‘Keep Bristol Warm’ on the weekend of December 6th , donating and handing out 34 rucksacks for the homeless, fully loaded with warm clothes, hats, gloves, toiletries, food, torches, socks, underwear, thermal vests and more! We also donated 30 sleep mats and 3 sleeping bags.
