So far, a total of £235,000 has been invested in the Community Fund since 2014 with even more being raised by the fundraising efforts of BrisDoc’s fantastic staff!
The Fund invests in projects that support health and wellbeing with a commitment of 50% locally and 50% overseas. The Fund aims to support staff passions, volunteering and active fundraising, often matching individual fundraising up to a total of £500.
Locally, the Fund has made donations from £50 up to £12,000 to support many different charities and organisations to help with wellbeing, health and fitness, including:
Age UK; Above and Beyond; Crisis Centre; One 25; Bristol Hospitality Network; MIND; St Mungo’s; Medics Rugby; South West Children’s Hospice; Frank Water; Dig Deep; Terrence Higgins Trust; Huntingdons; Easton Family Project; Calais; SARSAS; Bridges for Communities.
An application form is being introduced to help the process of applying for support for members of staff fundraising activities. Please tell us about your charitable or community involvement. Contact Mike Taylor for more details on firstname.lastname@example.org
Overseas, we are investing in a new health facility in Uganda with a charity called “Wellspring”…. today.
And the new building – two floors and more space to serve the community.
There are plans for a trip out to Uganda, led by Dr Mike Taylor in the summer.
