BrisDoc's Lead GP Dr Chris Dykes had been training hard in preparation to run an incredible 46 mile Green Man Ultra Marathon around Bristol on the 3rd March. What Chris didn't plan for was having to compete against Storm Emma and the Beast form the East.

Rucksacks for the homeless
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Rucksacks for the homeless project such a fantastic success. In total we managed to fill 50 rucksacks, each containing a set of thermal gloves, scarf, hat and socks, clean underwear and a clean set of clothes, a full set of toiletries and a wind-up torch.

Robyn White: Digging Deep and Climbing High
Throughout the past year Robyn White has been fundraising for a charity called Dig Deep that provides clean water and sanitation for communities in Africa by asking people to sponsor her climb of Mount Kenya.

Project Uganda
Over the past 2 years, the BrisDoc Community Fund has been funding an ambitious project to build a brand new primary care health centre in Kampala, one of the poorest, most neglected and under resourced areas of Uganda.
After a slow start, the project has sprung into life making some fantastic progress over the past 12 months. With that in mind it was high time for a visit to see for ourselves the amazing work being carried out.
Dr Ray Montague (BrisDoc Chairman) and Dr Mike Taylor (Lead GP from BrisDoc’s Homeless Health Service and Chairman of the BrisDoc Community Fund) made a week-long visit to Kampala. What follows is a fascinating diary account of their time at the Wellsprings project.
