On the 27th March BMC celebrated 'wear a hat to work day' to raise money for Brain Tumour Awareness. It was a fun day, during a difficult time, raising money for an excellent cause.

Going, Going, Gone! Two new Nurses for the NHS
This month, two brand new (knitted) Nurse joined the NHS after kindly being donated by Nickey Walshaw (SevernSide IUC Team Manager). The two dolls were then auctioned off at BrisDoc's Head Office - Osprey Court with all money being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support & The Dogs Trust.

Defibrillator donated to G.B Britton Bowls Club
The G.B Britton Bowls Club in Speedwell had recently been fund raising to purchase a brand new defibrillator for the club. When BrisDoc heard about this, we decided to donate a defibrillator via the community fund to support the club, its members and the local community.

Celebrating patients with type 2 diabetes in remission
Charlotte Keel Medical Practice held an event this week to celebrate people who have achieved Remission of their Type 2 Diabetes through weight loss and healthy lifestyle changes. Eleven patients at the practice who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have made healthy lifestyle changes were invited in for the celebration.

We are very please to announce that BrisDoc's Urgent Care Services Lead - Julia Holman has just passed the NHS Leadership Academy - Nye Bevan Programme. This 12 month course is designed with national and international experts in health and organisational performance, the programme offers support and learning to build personal resilience, confidence and capabilities to develop senior NHS leaders of the future.

Broadmead Medical Centre inspected and rated as GOOD by CQC
Well done to all the team at Broadmead Medical Centre who were inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) back in September this year and received an overall rating of GOOD.

BrisDoc’s SevernSide fleet is going GREEN
